Home Profit- The Master Machine Sock Knitting Machine
Home Profit Knitter (The Master Machine) sock making machine. All original, with the exception of the replaced shift lever. This hard to find, american made machine was made in Rochester, NY in the early 1920's. This machine is sought after by many collectors. Features solid brass ribber dial and cylinder. Has a built-in stand. Never has been restored. Still has original black paint. Does have a few areas of minor rust. No corrosion that would affect operation. Would perform fine as is or would be a wonderful refurbish project should one desire. I prefer the original vintage character myself. Does have a bit of green tarnish on the inside of brass cylinder. Brand new needles (extras) for both the cylinder and the ribber. This machine does need adjustments. I am not a cranker myself, so not sure how to fine tune these machines. I never have knitted any socks on this machine but am sure that with a few adjustments, machine would be ready to go. All parts move freely. Easily moves when crank wheel is turned. When you try to change directions, sometimes cams get hung up on bottom of needles. Again, needs someone familiar with these machines to adjust. Has 36 slot ribber, 72 slot cylinder. New cylinder clasp spring to hold needles. Includes two wooden bobbins. Went over the part list (see last image) from a copy of the instruction. All parts seem to be in place that are meant to be with this machine model except for the weights. Missing foot on one stand leg. Please review all images before bidding. Tried to show all parts and their condition. Copy of manual will be included. This Rare and beautiful machine would be great addition for a knowledgable collector. Or a first time buyer who has the desire make the needed adjustments to get machine performing. And of course, making socks. Will have to be partially disassembled to ship. Please ask any questions. US sales only.
